Interior Crack Repair
Interior crack injection permanently seals foundation cracks from inside — no excavation, minimal disruption. The right choice in many situations, but not every one.
How Interior Crack Injection Works
Interior crack injection uses high-pressure epoxy or polyurethane resin to fill and seal a foundation crack from the inside. The crack is cleaned and prepared, then injection ports are installed along the crack. Resin is injected under pressure, filling the crack from its deepest point to the surface — wall face to wall face.
When done properly, the repaired section bonds the concrete back together and is as strong as — or stronger than — the original wall. It is a permanent repair, not a patch or a surface cover.
The repair is completed in hours with no excavation, no disruption to landscaping, and no demolition of exterior features. All work is done from inside the basement.

When Interior Repair Often Makes Sense
- Exterior access is limited — decks, patios, tight clearances
- Unfinished or partially finished basement
- Budget makes excavation impractical
- Minimal disruption to yard or landscaping is a priority
- Year-round repair needed — not weather dependent
- Vertical or diagonal cracks responding well to injection
- Active water infiltration through a single crack
- Homeowner needs fast turnaround
Where drainage improvements are part of the scope, some work may be evaluated under RainWise program criteria depending on how the project is structured prior to approval. See how RainWise projects are structured.
When Interior Repair May Not Be the Right Fit
- Heavily finished basement where accessing the crack from inside requires significant drywall or flooring removal
- The exterior waterproofing membrane has failed and needs to be replaced regardless
- Crack location, type, or wall condition is better suited to an exterior approach
- Exterior access is easy and the homeowner prefers the wall be addressed from outside
In these cases, exterior crack repair may be the better recommendation. We'll tell you honestly which applies to your home.
The Repair Process
Assessment
We inspect the crack, identify its type, assess water involvement, and confirm that interior injection is appropriate for your specific situation.
Crack Preparation
The crack is cleaned and opened to ensure the injection material bonds to the concrete rather than patching a dirty surface.
Port Installation
Injection ports are spaced along the crack at measured intervals to ensure full coverage from top to bottom.
Resin Injection
Epoxy or polyurethane resin is injected under controlled pressure, filling the crack from its deepest point outward through the full wall thickness.
Surface Seal
The crack face is sealed and ports are removed. The repair is complete — typically in one visit.
